Happy Birthday Lincoln!
I am super excited to share this birth story of a lucky little guy who has FIVE big brothers!
I had been anxiously waiting calls and text from Tammy for a few days nearing her due date. And of course the day St. Louis was to be graced with their first snow storm I got the text!
5:56am – “headed in!! I will keep you updated! :)”
We had a little snow early that morning so they hit some traffic getting in.
I was super excited! I had all my gear packed up from already being “on call” for the few weeks prior. So I got up and started getting myself ready. I packed my kiddos bags and headed to the sitters around 9 am.
Got another update then from Tammy. 9:34am – Will be starting pitocin and breaking water around 11am!
I knew I had some time so after I dropped my kids off I got some editing done… answered some emails… ran some errands. Had lunch alone! First time in a long time! 😀
I got another update close to 1pm – Got my epidural and will be checked soon!
I grabbed lunch pretty close to the hospital, cause you never know! I wanted to be close. And once I was all done, I couldnt take it anymore, lol. I just had to get there!
I arrived at Mercy just as Tammy was being checked and she was about a 5/6. I personally went fast after hitting that point, so I was glad I got there when I did!
Tammy and Dave have FIVE amazing boys already, sweetest boys ever! AND they are seriously A.DOR.A.BLE!! They were all just hanging out with family members between the birthing suite and waiting rooms.
^^ That little guy Henry is hiiiiiilarious!
That cute little basket was used to put Lincoln’s foot prints on the inside of the lid for a little keepsake basket! Such a great idea!
Lots of fun and laughing going on while mom just labored right along!
Tammy loves her some Super heros! I mean how could you not with all these boys around!
Tammy started to get a little quiet. Kept checking her contraction markings on the monitors. I had a feeling she was starting to get close!
A little visit from the boys’ god father. And he brought flowers!
Tammy really started to show signs of feeling some pressure. Taking deep breaths and closing her eyes to concentrate.
It was just about time!
( I have to admit, watching all this when I was just here 6 months ago brought back everything like it was yesterday! )
Dave got everyone out of the room and made sure all the big brothers were settled with family. He was ready to meet the new little guy!!
Letting everyone know, its go time!
How adorable are these! Miss Tammy is a little crafter!!
Dave was just ready with jokes! Ready for an arm wrestle?
WHO gave Dave the cord cutter already?!?
Tammy did so great! Her contractions slowed a little when it was time for her to push. But this great group kept her motivated and ready to meet her newest super hero!
She did great working through the pains!
Happy birthday sweet boy!

Lincoln was just perfect!!
Tammy’s smallest baby yet! 7lbs 13oz
ooooh Lincoln! The most perfect little pout there ever was! He sure knew how to use it too!
Each brother got a copy of their new little brothers foot prints to take to school and show off!
The brothers down the hall in the waiting room just could not wait ANY longer!
“can we come yet?!”
Dave got to come out and announce Lincoln’s name to the family! Love when no one knows yet, makes for such a special moment!
these boys were just in AWE. They were so excited to meet their new brother.
The littlest ones checking out their new partner in crime.
I wish I would have written down everything Henry was saying! We were ALL laughing at him.
“Hims come home with us now mommy!” “We get to keep him cause hes outta your belly now!” “Hims crying for a binki!”
A toast to the newest member of the family! The boys were loving their sparkling juice 😉
I just was in love with how the older boys were just as excited about the new baby! They wanted to know everything the nurse was doing with him, and why!!
Lincoln must have sucked his thumb all the time in his momma’s belly! He knew right where that thing was! and what to do with it!
I love how the nursery comes and washes the baby up right there in the room. 🙂 Although Lincoln didn’t care much for it, I sure do love the photo opps!
Bubbly little toes..
After his bath, he got to finally hang out and relax under his little warming lights. He sure did like that part!
Umbilical cords are just crazy neat. Everything that little guy needed just passed on through that one little cord.
Tammy and Dave (and all your sweet boys!)
Thank you SO MUCH for letting me capture this time in your lives! I am thankful to have met your wonderful family and to have been able help keep these precious memories of meeting Lincoln fresh in your hearts! Can’t wait to watch him grow!!
