Week 16 – Mine
There is no denying this one 🙂 He is all mine!
Love him to pieces. <3
I’m so sad I quickly fell into the popular “i let my life take over and didnt get to do my 52 week photo project”.
I am not even sure I remember much of the last nine weeks. Seriously. Not even sure how that much time has gone by. But alas, it has. (note to self – maybe if you would have picked up your camera and documented it, you would remember!! lol) I am not promising this wont happen again with summer coming up. BUT I really hope it doesn’t. Its not that I didnt want to take photos, just crazy life gettin’ in the way.
Week 15 – White
I’m not so sure this photo really matches the theme. But I really just wanted to share it. I really love the (white) light. But most of all, I love my oldest daughter. My TWELVE year old daughter. This was taken on her 12th birthday, today. April 9th. I dont even know how to explain how WEIRD it is to have a daughter who is 12.
She is so smart. She is beautiful. She is a wonderful big sister. She is funny. She is sweet. She is caring. She is helpful. She is a wonderful daughter.
I am so lucky to have her. SO SO lucky that she is mine.
You are beautiful, Alyssa. BEAUTIFUL, inside and out.
The birth of Audrey Marie is one I will never forget! This was my first time photographing a natural delivery, with no medication. Watching Kristen labor through every single contraction and then hold her daughter for the first time was something I just cannot explain. I mean I “get it” because well, I have three kids! But watching her go thorough this with no pain medication and fighting so hard to be strong and succeed in that wish. It was no small feat. She had her *amazing* husband by her side the entire time. He comforted her, loved her and kept her fighting towards something they both wanted in their labor experience.
Kristen and Pete did not know the sex of their baby, which was so fun! A good majority of their family waited it all out in the waiting room. And getting to watch Pete announce their child was also tear worthy!
I am just going to let the photos below tell the story. I dont want my cheesy words to ruin it! I also plan to make this into a video at some point. I have some neat video clips to even add in! I hope to update with that in a bit, but I just wanted to get this post up now!!
The birth of Audrey Marie
March 8th, 2014
Delivered at 42! weeks!
Thank you so much, Kristen and Pete, for letting me experience this with you. I am so thankful to know your family, such good GOOD people! I cannot wait to watch you expand as parents and watch Miss Audrey grow!!
I was so incredibly lucky to photograph Pete and Kristen’s wedding in 2011 and now I am EVEN MORE excited to witness their next adventure!! A baaaaabeee!
We scheduled their maternity session a few times and had to cancel for different reasons. But we snuck one in! Literally! I was laughing out loud to when I looked at the time stamp on the photos we took.
First photo: 2:13 pm (lol and i also realized my camera is off an hour! It was really 1pm ;D)
Last photo: 2:19 pm
Yep, that has to be a record! 6 minutes. Did I mention it was kinda raining… and SUPER cold out too?! (and we were at the same Birthday party! Go multitasking!!)
These two are that awesome to pull off a great shoot in 6 minutes. I mean… look at them!
I can’t remember what we said here. But, ha! I love this! Had to include this “out take”!!
I mean really??!! SO>IN>LOVE>
Kristen, you look fantastic!!
Yes, Pete is just a tad tall. And I didnt bring my step stool. That would have added an extra… four minutes to the session!
I think this next set is my faaaav 🙂 I couldnt pick!!
Oooh Pete and Kristen! Thank you so much for letting me capture this time! It is so special. I cannot wait to witness you becoming parents, I just know you will be fantastic at it! The next time you see their adorable faces will be when they are snuggling their newborn. I cannot want to meet him/her!
(I am calling a girl <3)
Oh meeeeee oh Myyyyyy. I so wish I was somewhere tropical for this weeks theme. PARADISE. But alas. I am here in freezing cold, snowy Missouri.
